Here is a list of few places that you must visit while your trip to Rajasthan.
When we are talking about Rajasthan, it is just not possible to talk about Jaipur. So, the first place that is there in our list is Jaipur. As we all know that Jaipur is called the “Pink City” of India and the reason behind this is that the city is filled with colors. If you are visiting Jaipur, you will see that it is actually the mix of the old and the new
There are a lot of things that you could explore in Jaipur. If we talk about the popular tourist attraction, then there are few UNESCO World Heritage sites over here. Some of the best places in Jaipur that you could not afford to miss are Amer fort, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and many such palaces, forts, and museums. If you want to explore the local market of the city, Bapu Bazaar, Tripolia Bazaar, and Johri Bazaar are some of the places that you could explore. Ghewar, Pyaaz Kachori, and Dal Baati Churma are some of the local cuisines that you must eat.
Bundi is a place in Rajasthan that we all know about, but do not add in our list and the sole reason behind it is that we are not completely aware of the beauty and the historic importance that this place has. You will be glad to know that this city is situated in between the amazing cities of Udaipur and Jaipur. This gives you the chance to see all the ancient things that are important for a tourist. The amazing royal architecture and the scenic manmade lake adds charm in the beauty of this place.
Bundi has some amazing forts too. While visiting them you can get a guide with you to know about the history in a better way. We
As we have mentioned in the beginning itself that we will be mentioning some of the very popular and some underrated places of Rajasthan, Baroli temple comes in that underrated category. They are located to the south of Bundi and are popular for the ancient things that came out after excavation was done there. We would say that even if you don’t believe in God, you should come here for history and heritage. The idols and stones that are there present there are not ordinary.
The second place that is there in our list is Jodhpur, which is also known as “Blue City”, “Sun City” and “Gateway to Thar”. Just like Jaipur, Jodhpur is also known for its forts and palaces and along with that you also get to see a lot of blue houses, temples, and museums. One of the most popular forts, for which we know Jodhpur, is Mehrangarh fort. There are other popular sites too, such as Jaswant Tada and Umaid Bhawan which come in the top attraction of the city.
The city is known as blue city, because it looks completely blue from above, because of its blue walls and blue houses. Jodhpur’s real beauty lies in the old city. So, if you are someone who really love old historic cities, Jodhpur is a must visit for you.
Fort of Bhainsrorgarh
Next up in our list is the Fort of Bhainsrorgarh. This one is again a very underrated, yet immensely beautiful site of Rajasthan. You will be glad to know that this site is located just near the Baroli Temples. Another reason for which you should happy is that this fort is located on the bank of river Chambal. When you visit this place, you will get the exact shadow of the fort in the water and you can see the mirror image of it.
Like every other royal heritage site of India, this fort too is converted into a hotel by the owners. The only difference is that this hotel is still managed by that family itself. Those who truly want to see the royal architecture of Rajasthan, this place has to be there in their visiting list. In order to reach this fort, you will have to take a boat ride from Baroli.
Narlai (a village)
We all know that Rajasthan is a very beautiful state inside out and that is the reason that it has been a center of attraction even for Bollywood. If you have seen the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor star “Jab We Met” then you must have noticed that some part of it is shot in the villages of Rajasthan. Our point here is that, if you want to see the true color of any state you will have to visit its villages.
Talking about Rajasthan, you can come and stay in a village called Narlai. We think that if you are coming to any state or Rajasthan in particular and if you have not stayed in any village, you have not explored it properly. Narlai is one such place, where you can see the real beauty of Rajasthan and where you will get to see the glimpses of Rajasthani folk culture.
So, these were a few of the places one must visit while there next trip to Rajasthan. We have tried to mention some underrated places of Rajasthan too so that you can get to see some unusual site of the state too.
